Parts Guidance and Positioning using Flexible Jigs
Abstract: A new approach to general-purpose jigs is presented.
Specific jigs are assembled by the combination of single-purpose jig
elements, which are built by a programmable robot manipulator. A
variety of different jigs are provided by simply rewriting the robot
program. The approach is applied to a sheet metal assembly job.
